Make a Remote Controlled Robot Snake
Here are step by step instructions on how to make a toy robot snake.
It is having two 3V DC motors, one 3.7V li-Po battery and one simple transistor base astable multivibrator circuit board. The head part of snakes gets an oscillation motion because of this circuit and the motors. This oscillation is then moved down along the body towards the tail, giving a snake like body movement to the toy.
So let’s make an interesting simple Remote Controlled Snake at home using few basic materials that are available easily. This robotic snake has a very flexible body and moves in a manner that resembles the natural movements of a real snake.
Materials Required for Snake’s body :
- Cardboard piece
- Paper clips
- Garland beads
- Shirt buttoms
- Steel wire
- DC motor
For Remote Control :
- General purpose PCB board
- DPDT Switch : DPDT(double-pole, double-throw ) means basically two SPDT(single-pole, double-throw) switches, which can control two separate circuits, but are always switched together by a single actuator. DPDT’s should have six terminals that’s why we use DPDT switch here.
